So you’ve probably seen plenty of clouds shaped like animals, but cities? We’re guessing no. But the creation of animal shaped cities is exactly what Southern Sudan is proposing.

It’s an unusual and ambitious plan for one of the earth’s poorest nations – a nation which now has few paved roads. The proposal is getting a lot of attention. Some people think it’s a great idea, while others feel the money would be better used to address some of the nation’s larger problems. The proposal has not been approved but it’s an interesting thought . . .

Meet Annabelle Held – a total Noah. Only 10, she’s making a big difference for animals at Our Pal’s Place, a no-kill animal shelter in Georgia. Annabelle began baking dog treats at home, selling them, and donating the profits to the shelter. She has raised almost $1000 already and that is a lot of dough! And it just goes to show- you’re never to small to make a big difference
